We created crtr because we want to know more.
Until now, there have been almost no public platforms in our country where people can openly discuss the challenges of working with contemporary art. Existing spaces are, first, designed mainly for professionals and accessible only to a limited circle, and second, they rarely provide relevant or timely information. The cultural world is growing and changing every day — and we want to understand how to work within it.
That’s why our project has no forbidden topics. We’re open to discussing political art and game art, graffiti and cinema, major biennales and local exhibitions, the ethics and techniques of curating. And that’s why crtr is a non-commercial initiative: our meetings are open to everyone, and anyone can propose questions or themes for discussion.
Once a week, we invite experts from different areas of culture — professionals in their fields — to talk with us about what’s happening in the art world today.
